Providing Comprehensive Evaluations
& Treatment for Children
As a parent, it is very unsettling to watch a child struggle with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and not know how to help him or her. These challenges can impact a childʼs ability to function at home, at school, and with peers.
Dr. Roberta Steinberg's psychological services help children and families struggling with these issues. Dr. Steinberg, a licensed Child Psychologist, certified School Psychologist, and licensed Physical Therapist, has been trained extensively in a variety of therapeutic interventions, including psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques and relationship-based "floortime" therapy. These interventions help children of all ages express their feelings, improve social/communication skills, boost self-esteem, and develop coping strategies to overcome social and emotional challenges.
Parent involvement is an essential component of every child's therapy. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child's individual therapy sessions. In addition, Dr. Steinberg collaborates with parents to develop strategies to manage behavioral issues and support their child's social-emotional development at home.
